The Band

Established in Mallorca (Spain) in 2015, Cartesian Ghost represents the crystallization of a relentless sonic pursuit. Refusing to be bound by static genres, the band has forged a unique identity they call Arcane Metal: a visceral blend of alternative rock/metal infused with progressive touches. Their sound is defined by hypnotic riffs, dizzying melodies, and an atmosphere that defies pigeonholing.

After years of experimentation and lineup refinement, the band solidified their vision with the release of their debut album, Lux Arcana, in November 2023. Conceived in early 2023, the album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Miquel Àngel Riutort (Mega) at Psychosomatic Studios, delivering 11 tracks that traverse a wide emotional and technical spectrum.

The album's release triggered a period of rapid expansion, leading Cartesian Ghost to share the stage with international acts such as Harakiri for the Sky, Heretoir, and Toundra. Their powerful live performances have garnered significant milestones, including playing at the Full Metal Holiday festival in 2024 and reaching the semifinals of the Wacken Metal Battle Spain in 2025.

Cartesian Ghost’s story is one of resilience and renewal. Anchored by founding members Kristofer Montenegro (vocals), Pedro Abraham (keyboards), and Emilio García (drums), and featuring Eduardo Samper on guitar, the band entered a new era in late 2025. Following the departure of bassist Carlos Navas, Will Adrift joined the ranks in November 2025, completing the current lineup. Capitalizing on this renewed energy, the band is currently immersed in the creation of their second studio album, poised to further evolve and expand their sonic universe.
